Did you know that Holy Tuesday holds the longest recorded teaching session in Jesus' entire ministry? Just days before the cross, He chose to spend His time teaching us — practically, lovingly, powerfully — how to live free. In Matthew chapters 21–25, we see Jesus pouring out truth that has been helping people for over 2,000 years, and it works just as well today. This Holy Week, let's take what Jesus gave us on that Tuesday and bring it right into our everyday lives — into the worry, the fear, the stuck places — and let truth do what it does best.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." — Romans 12:2
Part 1 | Name the Place Where You Don't Fully Believe God
Jesus knew that the enemy's greatest weapon isn't circumstances — it's the lies we agree with about those circumstances. On Holy Tuesday, He kept coming back to this: truth sets people free. But you can't walk free from something you haven't named yet.
So let's do that right now. Is there an area in your life — your finances, your health, your relationships, your future — where, if you're honest, you just don't fully trust that God will come through? Where the worry keeps returning even though you've prayed? That is the exact spot to bring to Jesus. Not with shame, but with honesty. "Lord, here it is. Here's where I'm still believing a lie. Will You show me the truth instead?"
He won't shame you for asking. He'll meet you there. He always does. And when you name the lie, you take away its power to operate in the dark. You bring it into the light — where truth can begin its work.

Part 2 | Ask God for the Truth That Will Replace It
Here's what I love about this: God doesn't just say "stop worrying." He gives us something to hold onto instead. When you bring your worry to Him — let's say it's about money, because so many of us know that one — He won't just say "trust Me" and leave you there. He'll bring something specific to mind. A scripture. A song lyric. A memory of a time He came through for you before.
Matthew 6:33 promises He'll provide. First Peter 5:7 invites you to cast your anxiety on Him. Philippians 4:19 says He'll meet every need. But sometimes we need Him to show us which truth is the specific one for this specific lie we're carrying right now. So ask Him! "Lord, what is the truth You want me to hold onto in this situation?" Then wait. He is faithful to answer — and He'll bring it in a way you recognise.
When He gives you that truth, write it down. Underline it. Take a photo of it. Make it yours. Because what He gives you isn't a general statement — it's the living word, spoken personally over your situation.
Part 3 | Repeat the Truth Until It Becomes Your Default
This is the most practical step, and it's also the one that makes the biggest difference over time. Transformation doesn't happen in a single moment of revelation — it happens in the repeated, daily, prayerful choice to think according to truth instead of lies.
Every time that old lie tries to come back — and it will — you get to choose. "I see you, worry. But that's not what I'm agreeing with anymore." Then you speak the truth God gave you. Out loud if you can. Write it on a sticky note on your bathroom mirror. Set it as a phone alarm. Record yourself reading it and play it back during your commute. Make it impossible to forget.
And here's the beautiful part: the more you do this with the Holy Spirit — asking Him to help you actually believe it, not just say it — the more your mind begins to retrain. The lie gets quieter. The truth gets louder. One day you'll realise the thing that used to send you into a spiral just doesn't anymore. That's not willpower. That's Romans 12:2 happening in real life. That's freedom.
✨ Say “Yes” to God’s Invitation
Jesus spent His last Tuesday giving us everything we needed to walk free. He believed this truth was worth it — even on the week of the cross. I think that means it's worth it for us too.
You don't have to live under the weight of lies that were never meant to be yours. Name it, ask for truth, and repeat it until it becomes home. That's the life Jesus was pointing to — and it's available to you right now.
