Episode 295 - Be Still & Know He Is God

23 December 2025

Life can feel loud. Busy. Demanding. Our minds swirl with responsibilities, worries, unanswered questions, and internal pressure. And so often, even when we come to God, we bring Him that same noise—asking, striving, wondering when things will change.

But Psalm 46:10 offers us a simple yet life-altering invitation:

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

This verse has two distinct parts, and when we live them together, everything shifts.

Part 1 | Be Still — Stepping Out of the Swirl 🌪️

“Be still” doesn’t mean stopping life or becoming passive. It means becoming still inside. Still in your thoughts. Still in your emotions. Still in your spirit.

Life can feel like a whirlwind—kids running, meetings piling up, noise everywhere. But God once showed me something powerful: in the center of a whirlwind, there is an eye of the storm that is completely calm.

You are not trapped in the swirl. You can step into that calm place at any moment.

Stillness is presence. It’s choosing to pause internally and say, “Lord, I’m focusing on You.” When we do this, peace replaces striving, and clarity replaces chaos.

Part 2 | Know That I Am God — Shifting the Focus to Him

Once we become still, the second part unfolds naturally: “and know that I am God.”

When distractions fall away, God is able to reveal who He is—how He sees your situation, what He’s doing, and how He wants to guide you forward. Our focus moves off ourselves and onto Him.

Knowing God isn’t about gathering more information. It’s about encounter. In stillness, God meets us personally and speaks with clarity, kindness, and authority.

As we focus on Him, He reflects truth and wisdom back into our lives.

A Simple Practice You Can Use Anywhere 🙏

Here’s a practical way to step into stillness anytime:

  • Open your hands ✋

  • Close your eyes (if possible) 👀

  • Take a deep breath 🌬️

  • Whisper: “Thank You, Father.”

This calms your body, centers your spirit, and brings your awareness back to God. Even a half-second pause can reconnect you with heaven.

From that place, you step back into life carrying peace, wisdom, and the presence of God with you.

Say “Yes” to God’s Invitation

Jesus is inviting us to live from heaven to earth—not from striving, but from abiding. When we learn to be still and truly know Him, we become people who carry peace into chaos and light into everyday moments.

This is the adventure of living life with God.
He’s inviting you. Will you accept?

Blessings to you
